AlphaTheta SLAB MIDI Pad Controller with Encoder Wheel / Stems Serato Studio
The AlphaTheta SLAB is a compact MIDI pad controller designed to put Serato Studio’s sampling, sequencing and performance workflow directly at your fingertips. Built for beat-making, production and live creativity, SLAB gives DJs and producers a more hands-on way to create music without relying entirely on a mouse and keyboard.
Designed in partnership with Serato, SLAB is the first dedicated hardware controller made for Serato Studio, with seamless support for Serato Studio, Serato Sample and Serato DJ Pro. It gives you direct control over key creative functions including transport, sequencing, sample triggering, browsing, Stems Level and plugin control.
The controller features 16 responsive multicolour performance pads with velocity and aftertouch support, making it ideal for finger drumming, sample triggering, sequencing and expressive performance. The pads are supported by an OLED display, touch-sensitive encoders and a long-stroke LED touch strip for fast, tactile control.
SLAB’s transport section gives you essential controls such as play, record and seek, while the multifunction dial helps speed up browsing and navigation. With Focus Control, the dial can also be used to control selected third-party plugin parameters, including virtual instruments and effects.
When used with compatible Serato software, SLAB’s Stems Level feature lets you adjust the volume of individual parts within a track, such as vocals, melody, drums and bass. This makes it a powerful creative tool for remixing, beat-making, edits and performance-based production.
Compact, sleek and USB-C powered, the AlphaTheta SLAB is ideal for home studios, mobile producers, DJs moving into production, and Serato users who want a more physical, creative workflow. AlphaTheta lists the unit at 284.3 × 209.0 × 44.6 mm and 1.0 kg, making it easy to fit into a portable setup.
